About

The Eclipse Spaces plug-in gives Dragonfly developers a convenient way to publish their BUG applications.

This live example shows how you can make Dragonfly even more capable by creating a new distro that includes Eclipse Spaces, a plug-in that allows developers to publish their apps to personal sharing spaces.

Benefits

When you create distros the conventional way, you waste lots of effort assembling and packaging up the code. When you're done, you need to find a download site to put the end result. And then you have to repeat the process each time the components you're using change.

With Cloudsmith, you just find the components in the map and stack them into your distro, like using a shopping cart. You can ask Cloudsmith to use the latest version of each, or specific versions you know will work. And since Cloudsmith gets the components from wherever you found them, there's no need for a download site. The distro just materializes from the cloud.

Next

After you've completed the example, find the distro you published in your default private publishing space ("private. yourusername" ) and try downloading it. You may also want to try editing or sharing it.

When you're done, go to step 3 ADD to try adding a new component to the map.

NOTE: you need to be signed in to run this example.
